My interest in playing music started while at secondary school when I was introduced to the church pipe organ taking lessons from the resident organist and reaching a competent standard. My inspiration came more from Herbie Hancock than Handel so I switched to keyboards and synthesizers and once I left school started performing and recording with many local bands and musicians.
Over the last 17 years I’ve been building my practice as a tutor in electronic keyboard, organ, rock, jazz and classical piano, music technology and I also offer Electric Guitar lessons for beginners.
From my early days as a musician I’ve played at just about every local pub, club and festival as well as at many renowned London venues, The Marque, Kentish Town Forum, Café de Paris, The Mean Fiddler, Hyde Park and Wembley Stadium to name a few. I’ve also performed around the world in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
It’s fair to say I attended the School of Life in becoming a professional musician but to enhance on my wealth of experience I have gained teaching qualifications from the British Academy of New Music, Yamaha Music, and The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, Trinity College London and Rockschool.
